Trinidad Bean Brown
I got these from a Chris Phillips giveaway on The Hot Pepper in 2013. A very prolific chinense originally grown by Dylan Adams. The original variety ripened from green to a darker shade of green/mustard. A beautiful brown variation showed up in the grow-out two years in a row (F2 stage). The pods have a similar shape to the original Trinidad Green Bean strain, but a little larger (approximately 2 inches in length). An abundance of hot pods that have a nice flavor. Note this variety is unstable and may yield pods anywhere from green to mustard to brown or red. Mine started brown and matured to red.
