NuMex Sunset

An ornamental long chile about the size of the NuMex 6-4. This variety is usually used to make ristras (chiles hung up to dry in low humidity climates - often used as a Southwest style decoration). The Sunset ripens to orange. You can eat ornamental chiles from the capsicum annuum variety but they are bred for their color more than their flavor. Quite pungent.
