Guajillo
A popular variety from Mexico. A great-tasting, mild chile grown mostly in North Central Mexico. Pods are 3 to 5 inches in length and just over an inch wide. They are mainly used dried as whole pods, which are then crushed, powdered and made into a seasoning paste. Great for salsas, mole, meat marinades and Carne Adobada. Plants are very productive and grow to about 30 inches tall. 5,000 - 17,000 SHUs.
